Spurs chairman Daniel Levy has been set a deadline of midnight on Friday to accept Bayern Munich’s latest bid, according to reports.

Levy is reported to have met with Bayern chief executive Jan-Christian Dreesen and technical director Marco Neppe in London on Monday, while Kane trained with the rest of the Spurs squad to continue preparations ahead of Sunday’s pre-season friendly at home to Shakhtar Donetsk.

The scrutiny surrounding Kane’s future does not show any signs of going away, with the German club public about their interest all summer.

Bayern honorary president Uli Hoeness claimed last month personal terms had been agreed between Kane and the Bundesliga champions, while two bids for the forward were reportedly turned down in July.

Spurs have offered Kane a new contract, which is a significant increase on his current £200,000-a-week terms, but reports have claimed no decision will be made on the new deal while speculation over his future continues.

And now the Daily Telegraph insist that Bayern Munich have now ‘set a deadline of midnight on Friday’ for Tottenham to ‘accept their latest offer’ for Kane.

The Daily Telegraph add:

‘The German giants are considering turning to other transfer targets if Tottenham do not finally agree a deal.

‘All parties – including the player – want Kane’s future resolved as soon as possible and certainly before Spurs’ first Premier League game of the season next Sunday away to Brentford.

‘If a deal is not agreed to sell Kane to Bayern, the striker is expected to see out the final year of his contract at Spurs and leave for free next summer.

‘There have been no indications that Kane, who turned 30 last week, wants to extend his stay at Spurs any longer despite the club’s attempts to get him to sign a new deal.

‘The England captain has been the No.1  target of Thomas Tuchel all summer but the Bayern coach will accept defeat and move on to trying to sign other players if there is no agreement in the coming hours.

‘In saying that, there remains cautious confidence a deal can still be struck and the clubs are moving towards an agreement with Bayern prepared to pay a club record fee for Kane. That record currently stands at €80 million (£68 million) paid for centre-back Lucas Hernandez four years ago.

‘It is expected that Bayern will have to offer around €100 million (£86.1million) if not higher, with add-ons, to persuade Spurs to sell Kane who, they believe, is keen to make the move.’

The report in the Telegraph comes after German football expert Christian Falk claimed Kane will not “hesitate” to stay at Spurs if Bayern Munich fail to fulfill his “wish that Tottenham receive a large fee for him”.

And now Sky Germany reporter Florian Plettenberg has now revealed that Bayern have submitted what is expected to be their final offer for the England international.

Plettenberg wrote on Twitter: “Excl. News #Kane: Bayern has submitted a new offer of more than €100m now – with bonus payments included Bayern bosses expect an answer in the hours!”
