Crystal Palace and West Ham ‘want to sign’ relegated midfielder – club ‘will reject £10m bids’
According to reports, Crystal Palace and West Ham United are both interested in signing Burnley midfielder Dwight McNeil.
The 22-year-old had a spell at Man Utd as an academy player but he has been at the Clarets since 2014.
McNeil made his senior debut for Burnley at the end of their 2017/18 campaign in the Premier League.

The winger has been a regular for Burnley over the past four seasons. He has now played 147 times for them across all competitions.
He played all 38 of their Premier League games last season as they suffered relegation on the final day.
The Sun are now reporting that Crystal Palace boss Patrick Vieira ‘wants to sign’ McNeil this summer. It is also claimed that West ham ‘admire’ the midfielder.
It is said that Burnley ‘would want more than £10m’ for McNeil. This is the figure Crystal Palace and West Ham are currently willing to pay. Back in January, it was reported that he was valued at £40m.
Elsewhere, Lille have reportedly rejected a €23million bid by West Ham for their Belgian midfielder Amadou Onana.
The 20-year-old played 41 times across all competitions as his side reached the last 16 of the Champions League and finished 10th in Ligue 1.
According to The Athletic, West Ham have had a €23m for Onana turned down by Lille, who insist the player is not for sale.
The player joined from Hamburg in 2021 and still has four years left on his contract, leaving the French club in a strong position.
He has also attracted interest from Arsenal and Liverpool.
The report adds that West Ham are contemplating whether to make an improved bid.
The Hammers have made two summer signings so far, bringing in Nayef Aguerd from Rennes for around £30m and Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Alphonse Areola following his loan spell at the London Stadium last term.
They are also interested in signing Jesse Lingard on a free transfer. The England midfielder recently left Manchester United following the expiry of his contract.
West Ham, Newcastle, Everton and Tottenham have all been linked with the 29-year-old, though it is believed he has no intention of joining the Toffees. He sees a move to Goodison Park as a ‘last resort’.
