Best 24/25 Fantasy Premier League XI includes Man Utd pair, Liverpool quartet and Everton standout
Liverpool dominate but two Manchester United standouts make this best Fantasy Premier League performers XI, which has a very very attacking midfield…
GK: Andre Onana – Manchester United (41 points)
David De Gea’s replacement has had more than his fair share of criticism since joining Man Utd last year, but he grew into his debut season and recently earned lavish praise from club legend Peter Schmeichel.
Onana’s inclusion is a tad surprising given United have conceded three goals in two games this season, but he’s also kept four clean sheets and taken the place of a shaky Arsenal star in this team after his wobble against AFC Bournemouth.
RB: Trent Alexander-Arnold – Liverpool (43 points)
This could be Alexander-Arnold’s final season at Liverpool as FSG have reportedly already made a £42m ‘offer’ for a potential replacement, but the Englishman seems intent on going out on a high.
In the Fantasy Premier League world, the immensely talented right-back is the most expensive defender, but he’s still a must-buy as he’s usually been a sure-fire bet to get 10-plus goal involvements a season.
So far this term, he is yet to score in the Premier League and has just one assist. However, he is comfortably still the highest-scoring defender as his tally has been boosted by Arne Slot making potential title contenders Liverpool more resolute in defence than under Jurgen Klopp.
CB: Gabriel Magalhaes – Arsenal (40 points)
Alexander-Arnold is narrowly ahead of Gabriel, who was let down by his centre-back partner – rightly sent off – against Bournemouth at the weekend.
Arsenal have been uncharacteristically open at the back in recent weeks as they have not kept a clean sheet in four Premier League games. But Gabriel remains a stand-out, scoring in back-to-back games against Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City last month.
CB: Ibrahima Konate – Liverpool (38 points)
Konate’s long-term future appeared in doubt heading into this campaign as injuries and the emergence of Jarell Quansah impacted him last season.
However, the Frenchman replaced Quansah after Slot’s brutal opening-day substitution against Ipswich and has not looked back since. He’s on the brink of signing a new contract and looks primed to be a long-term starter at Anfield.
LB: Diogo Dalot – Manchester United (36 points)
United’s much-needed win against Brentford has slightly eased the pressure on Ten Hag, but this will ramp up again if/when Jose Mourinho gets one over his old side on Thursday night.
Man Utd’s start to the season has not been good enough, but some players can hold their heads high and Dalot is certainly one of them after similar form in 2023/24. He’ll lose his spot if Man City’s Josko Gvardiol keeps scoring, though.

CM: Cole Palmer – Chelsea (69 points)
If Lee Carsley can play him here, so can we…
Palmer was pretty anonymous at Anfield as improving Chelsea were given a lesson by Liverpool on Sunday, but he’ll likely be back in the thick of the action when Enzo Maresca’s side host Newcastle United this weekend. Pep Guardiola does not make many mistakes, but he was foolish to let the ice-cold 22-year-old leave Man City.
CM: James Maddison – Tottenham Hotspur (43 points)
Maddison has five goal involvements in eight Premier League games this season, but his stats have somewhat papered over the cracks as his overall performances have not been the greatest.
The England international was sacrificed at half-time against West Ham as Ange Postecoglou learned not all substitutes are ‘irrelevant’, but his consistent output means he remains a safe pair of hands regarding fantasy.
RW: Mohamed Salah – Liverpool (74 points)
Salah is recharged after a free summer and he’s showing no sign of letting up as he’s got 10 goal involvements in six Premier League games this season.
If he continues at this rate, Liverpool may soon be tempted to give in to his ‘mega-money’ demands for a new contract. At the moment, it appears that this would not be the worst investment as the 32-year-old still has plenty to give.

CAM: Dwight McNeil – Everton (47 points)
Just as the pressure was mounting on Everton boss Sean Dyche, his job has been saved with a four-game unbeaten run, and their priceless 2-0 win at Ipswich Town moved them five points clear of the bottom three.
Summer signing Iliman Ndiaye has been brilliant, but he’s perhaps been outshone by McNeil, who has already matched his goal tally from last season and is setting himself up for a decent move elsewhere in 2025.
LW: Luis Diaz – Liverpool (55 points)
Diaz was heavily linked with FC Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain in the summer. At the time, it felt like cashing in would be a sensible decision after he underperformed in Jurgen Klopp’s final season.
But Diaz’s non-transfer has been a huge blessing for Liverpool as he’s established himself as one of Slot’s most indispensable players.
ST: Erling Haaland – Manchester City (69 points)
The big fraud hasn’t scored in three Premier League games, but Man City’s goal machine was ridiculously good at the start of this campaign and their title rivals will be glad to see the back of him if he ‘forces an exit’.
